Dedicated galvanising complex set to redefine metal processing standards
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 1 December 2023:
Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group), the UAE’s largest operator of integrated and purpose-built economic zones, has announced a new partnership between Metal Park and Galva Hub that will significantly expand the country’s metal processing capabilities.
The collaboration centres on the development of the world’s largest galvanising pool — a 131-cubic-metre zinc pool housed within more than 6,000 square metres of dedicated galvanising space. The project is designed to set new benchmarks in efficiency, scale, and sustainability for the regional metal processing industry.
Metal Park, a 450,000-square-metre integrated hub within KEZAD, enables metal companies to scale operations without traditional infrastructure constraints. Galva Hub, a hot-dip galvanising specialist and processing partner within Metal Park, will lead the operational development of the galvanising facility.
Scheduled for completion in Q3 2024, the partnership combines Metal Park’s industrial ecosystem with Galva Hub’s technical expertise. The project is designed to integrate advanced technologies and sustainable practices, supporting industries such as construction, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure development.
