Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 29 May 2025:
ADIO and Metal Park have announced the establishment of a dedicated Industry 4.0 Competence Centre in Abu Dhabi, aimed at driving the digital transformation of the metal-manufacturing value chain.
Situated within Metal Park’s purpose-built industrial zone in KEZAD Free Zone (approximately 8 km from Khalifa Port), the facility spans over five million sq ft and is designed exclusively for the metal sector.
The Competence Centre will provide an advanced platform for the rapid prototyping, pilot testing, and scaling of Industry 4.0 technologies, including robotics, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), digital twins, AI-enhanced production optimisation, predictive maintenance, and autonomous logistics.
In addition to technology deployment, the Centre will serve as a centre of excellence for upskilling the workforce, equipping industry professionals with the capabilities to operate in a digitally enabled manufacturing environment.
The initiative aligns with the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS), which aims to double the manufacturing sector’s GDP contribution to AED 172 billion by 2031.
